About our Wind Blockers

Our shades are very versatile and offer you many combinations of use.

They are made from a very light polyester voile that does the job superbly. They are very light and can be erected and taken down in minutes unlike a traditional heavy safari room.

The Dutch have been using them in the flower & bulb fields for many years to protect delicate blooms.

You may wish to purchase just a front panel the width of your canopy or a narrower one that you can slide along as required, or you could also purchase just one end Shade and a matching Front Shade as the Sun moves around or the wind changes through the day you may swap the end shade to the other end of your canopy and slide your Front shade along your tracking to give you a cozy corner.

The end/Side shades will fit anywhere under your canopy they don’t have to just go on the ends. You may wish to purchase two end/side panels and a front panel that creates a safari type room offering you protection from insects and a place to sit on a night and keep out the evening chill. Some people prefer to have two small shades on the front to create a doorway, others prefer to have the door at the ends using one front panel and sliding it either way depending on the wind or sun, With our shades the choice is entirely yours

The front panels are fitted with a special bolt rope tape at the top that simply inserts into your existing channel in your Fiamma or Omnistar Awning so you can slide them in.

Expanding Poles for End Panels

We have now managed to find a delivery company who will deliver the poles as long as we put them in strong cardboard tubes  this means we can now deliver to you the whole package for only £15 including the poles

However you may still choose the old option of £10 postage and get your own poles its entirely up to you.

When you choose your colour please use the drop down menu below that to indicate your postage options, the poles are free with each end panel its just the tube and the delivery company have to be paid for so there is no difference if you choose 1 or 2 ends.

As the majority of awnings do not have any tracking at the ends of the blinds, We use expanding poles to carry our end shades which are fitted with 13 elastic loops on the top so you can slide the pole through. The pole simply fits into the front of your awning box and into the rear casing that the awning was in before you wound it, out by tensioning it. It is the securing down at the base with the elastics that help hold it in place. In order to keep cost down we use everyday washing line clothes props that are available in any reputable hardware shops we simply cut off the hook on the top of the pole with a bread knife or hack saw and slide rubber boots on each end of the pole along with a small hook underneath the rear one to stop the shade from sliding down the angle.
